Hey guys, it’s Rebeca with BrandTrue and I want to talk about names that are acronyms. You may have heard me say before. I really don’t like them typically because I think they’re lazy. Oh, well, we’ll just make an acronym out of it. Nobody really cares. You generally don’t have the time or the money to teach people what those letters stand for. It’s just a waste of time but sometimes there are exceptions there’s exceptions to everything when it comes to naming. And so there’s a name that I love, TASER. That’s actually an acronym. It stands for Thomas A Swift’s Electric Rifle but why that name works is because it doesn’t matter what it stands for. It doesn’t live as an acronym. TASER is a short, powerful word. It sounds active. It sounds like a verb, which it has become a verb, to “tase” And so it’s actually very powerful independent of being an acronym. Try not to use acronym names make sure if you do that, it stands on its own.
