How Generating Brand Names Is Like Cleaning Your House

Hey everyone it’s Rebecca Arbona with BrandTrue. One of the more challenging parts of my job is convincing people to hire professionals to do things that they could do themselves, at least conceivably. And this is especially true with the part of our practice around naming. A lot of people feel that they can name. Okay. But is it always the best use of their time? Another thing that happens, is that some people think that naming is something that they should do themselves. And that’s when I start to get wary. And also, that’s when I start to think that naming is kind of like cleaning your house. A lot of people, well everyone, can clean their house, but a lot of people are okay realizing it is maybe not the best use of their time. They might not have the time to do it, they might not enjoy doing it. And also, other people might do it better, probably because of those reasons.
And that’s the thing with naming too. If you love it, more power to you, ’cause I think it’s one of the most fun things on earth, so I get that. But if you don’t love it, and you’re doing it because you should, you think you should, I’m here to tell you that professionals that have a lot of training, a lot of experience, and a deep love for it are probably going to do a better job than you are. And let’s face it, you probably have better things to do with your time too. So by all means, think about this, BrandTrue can do it, other professional namers can do it, but it’s something to consider. Sometimes outsourcing is your best idea. Let me know what you think below.
