Hey guys, it’s time to play “Does This Name Suck?” again and today we’re going to look at Postmates. Does this name suck? Oh, yes it does. And the reason why is because it doesn’t tell you anything. It’s a food delivery service.
Take a look at its major competitors, Door Dash and Grub Hub. They tell you, they speak to food, they speak to fast, home delivery. It’s just those names work hard. Postmates, I’m sorry, but it sounds like mail order brides. It does nothing for them. And there’s no reason to not use all the assets at your disposal, to create a name that works for you, to begin to tell your story, begin to communicate what it is that you have on offer.
