We’re very fond of Hello, a brand of oral care products, and the reason is as simple as it having the friendliest name ever!
Does This Name Suck? HELLO

Should You Name Brands After People?
TRANSCRIPT:
Hey guys, it’s Rebeca with BrandTrue and today I want to talk with you about a brand that I’ve been wanting to discuss for a long time. It’s called Hello, and it’s an oral care brand. They make toothpaste and mouthwash and mints. It’s all about this area and I love this brand!
I love their name. And I was reminded and inspired to finally talk to you about them because I recently saw someone pointing out that most things in this category are in, are teed up in a much more negative space. Their benefits are around taking away the negatives, you know? Killing bad breath, preventing cavities, that kind of thing. And they’re all about like giving you that confidence to make a personal connection. Hello! So, so good!
All right, so we’ll run it through our analysis. T, is there a Transparent communication or connection? So this one is really part of what I find so interesting: transparent communication. Like, no… you say “hello,” that doesn’t necessarily put you in their area of focus. Yet there is a really, really relevant connection because hello, we lead with our smile, right? We communicate this way and it’s about making it easier to connect. So, I’m going to give them a yes on T.
Then for R, are you getting the real feels? Is there really, real, authentic emotion in some way? Yes! You know, instead of being called like, you know “my breath doesn’t stink” kind of name, Hello! You feel something right away. So that’s a resounding yes! Then is it Unique? Yes! Is it Engaging? Yes! It’s just, it’s firing on all cylinders.
You don’t often see me give a brand four checks but it’s just, it’s really wonderful. I love it! Let me know what you think. Thanks. Bye!
