Hey guys, it’s Rebeca with BrandTrue and today we’re going to talk about words that… can they maybe be rehabilitated? Can we save a word that kind of, sort of sucks? Here’s what I mean. There’s words that I call micro negative words, words like Slack, like Monster, like… I’m going to look at my notes because I’m forgetting, like Snag, like Bedhead that are great brand names but that are not necessarily all positive.
They have some negativity to them but they’ve made great brand names. And it got me to thinking there are some words that aren’t out and out negative words, but they’re… I’m calling them micro negative. They’re kind of unpleasant to some people and I’m wondering if someone could turn one of these into a brand name with the right thing.
Words like moist, it doesn’t bother me, but some people are like at word moist. Humid, odor, wait what am I forgetting, cluster? I love this word, cluster. I think that cluster could be like a cluster of petals or a cluster of buds. But, mostly it’s like a cluster of cancer cells, like a cluster of warheads or like a cluster “dance.”
So, these words that they’re not out and out negative but people kind of don’t like them, I think that one of them is ripe to turn into an interesting kind of X factor negative flipped sort of brand name. So there you go, that’s a freebie. Let me know what you think. Bye!
